Assessments and Promotions
  • The assessments of pupil's performance shall consist of class work, homework, Class tests, Unit Tests and Examinations. 10% of marks shall be allotted to the class work and home work etc. and 90% to the written papers of Unit Tests and Examinations.
  • Besides the Half Yearly and Annual Examinations there shall be two Unit Tests in the month of May or July and December respectively and their marks shall be added to the aggregate.
  • Progress Report Cards shall be issued to students after examinations to acquaint the parents with progress and the personality development of their wards. These are to be signed by one of the parents irrespective of the marks obtained by the child and return to the Class Teacher within 2 days of its issue, failing which, a late fee Rs. 50.00 per day shall be charged. Any damage to or loss of progress Report Card shall be liable to a penalty of Rs. 50.00 for issuance of a New Report Card.
  • Parents shall not refuse to sign the Progress Report of their wards because of their poor performance in Tests or Examinations, since this will discourage and demoralise them further. Rather, they should encourage them to do better thereafter and check their performance regularly on a day to day basis.
  • Absentees shall not be re-examined nor their examinations/papers shall be anticipated or postponed under any circumstances.
  • Promotions shall be decided on the basis of the final aggregate/percentage of marks obtained by pupils in all assessments and the percentage of their attendance. A minimum of 40% marks in the final aggregate of every subject and 80% attendance of working days shall be required for promotion to the next class.
  • PUPILS SHOULD COVER AT LEAST 75% OF THE ENTIRE COURSE AND GO THROUGH THEIR ASSESSMENT TESTS AND EXAMS AND OBTAIN AN AVERAGE OF 40% MARKS IN EVERY SUBJECT TO CONSIDER THEIR PROMOTION ON MEDICAL GROUND IF THEY FALL ILL DURING TESTS OR EXAMS.
  • Pupils who are detected giving or attempting to give or take unfair assistance from others during any Test or Examination shall have their paper cancelled and they shall be considered as failed in that particular subject. If detected more than once doing so, all their papers shall be cancelled and they shall be asked to leave the school/to be withdrawn immediately.
  • In all matters of promotion or detention, the Principal's decision is final and binding on all in every respect.
  • Pupils detained twice in a class either due to poor academic performance or lack of attendance shall be required to leave the school since no third chance is given to them.
