Attendance and Leave of Absence
  • All pupils are expected to be punctual and regular at all classes and school functions/activities. They must be present in the school premises at least five minutes before the warning Bell, i.e, the first bell. The school gates close at the Prayer Bell. The late comers shall either wait outside the gates till they are opened or they shal l return home. Use of any foul language/threats to school employees shall be taken very seriously and disciplinary actions shall be initiated against such parents and guardians since everybody is equal in the eyes of the law.
  • Every Pupil must be present when the school reopens after summer and winter vacations as well as on the day the new session commences. If a pupil is absent on the first three working days, his/her name will be struck off the roll call. Those who fail to comply with this rule shall be barred from attending their classes and may even be sent home.
  • A leave application should be sent for every absence and pupils concerned must get it duly signed by the Principal and submit it to the class Teacher soon after the roll call. Those who fail to comply with this rule shall be barred from attending their classes and may even be sent home.
  • If for some serious reason (s) a pupil is unable to attend school for more than three days continuously, the Principal should be informed in writing well in advance.
  • Provision is made in the school Diary for leave of absence record and the Parents/Guardians must fill in those columns properly with signature.
  • Leave application should always be addressed to the Principal and not to the Class Teacher. A class Teacher is not authorized to grant leave to pupils.
  • Attendance on national days, like the Independence Day and Republic Day is compulsory and no pupil may be absent on these days without the explicit permission of the Principal.
  • Pupils are not permitted to leave the school premises during school hours without the written permission of the Principal.
  • Only in cases of emergency. like sudden illness, accidents or demise of a dear one, parents/guardians may be allowed to take their wards home after submitting a written application to the principal.
  • A pupil may be sent home during school hours for any serious violation of rules and regulations, discipline or unethical and objectionable conduct
  • ABSENTEES SHALL NOT BE RE-EXAMINED NOR THEIR EXAMS/PAPERS SHALL BE ANTICIPATED OR POSTPONED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.
  • Promotions shall be decided on the basis of the final aggregate/percentage of marks obtained by pupils in all assessments and the percentage of their attendance. A minimum of 40% marks in the final aggregate of every subject and 80% attendance of working days shall be required for promotion to the next class.
